Today's Trending & Zeitgeist Hook
Inspired by UNESCO's 2026 acoustic heritage registry designating analog mechanical transients and telecommunication tones as endangered cultural artifacts.
Why I created this today:
Human memory is astonishingly acoustic. A generation ago, every home echoed with the 15,734 Hz whistle of CRT flyback transformers and the rhythmic click of rotary dials. Today, those vibrations have vanished from human air. I built this acoustic preservation chamber where you can inspect 6 endangered sound specimens synthesized in real-time with Web Audio, run them through simulated room impulse responses, and calculate their generational decay.
